Pop icon Nicholas Tse, who is managed by Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG), announced he would take a break from singing to follow a career in TV at a signing ceremony Sunday with Eastern Star Group, which won the right to act as Tse's show business agent on the mainland.

At the signing ceremony, Tse said he would take up his first TV compere job with an entertainment news program on Shanghai Dragon TV.

Dragon TV had already issued his letter of appointment, with Tse making his debut alongside new partner Chen Chen, who handed him the microphone on Sunday’s show. Chen said she and Tse would make a great partnership.
