Yao Ming to play for China in friendly

Chinese men's basketball team will play two friendly matches against the team from Iceland, and NBA star center Yao Ming will play for China in the second match.

This will be Yao's first game after coming back to China for an injury break.

The first competition will take place in Xi'an on August 28, followed by the second one two days later in Harbin.

The strong Chinese squad will include Yao as center along with forwards Yi Jianlian, Mo Ke, Zhu Fangyu and guard Liu Wei.

After the two friendly matches, the national basketball team will set off for the Asian Championships which start on September 8 in Qatar.
