Death toll caused by typhoon-triggered flood rises to 8 in Ningbo

The death toll caused by flood has risen to eignt in Ningbo, a city in east China's Zhejiang Province, local government said Monday.

The flood, triggered by typhoon Khanun, still left one other missing.

The flood broke out at approximately 1:00 a.m. Monday in the Qinglin Village, Beilun District of Ningbo, the government said. The flood also pulled down more than 20 houses.

Khanun, the No. 15 typhoon this year, slammed into Zhejiang Sunday afternoon.
