Fewer goals take luster off U.K. soccer
Mourinho's cagey style is to sit back and test the strength of opponents and then grind them down later in the game. The Blues, who won the title last season by 15 points, top the Premier League by six points. Many believe the championship race is already over. "It's too early," said Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard. "People are already talking about the points gap. We have started very well but we know that we have got to go on at the same level as we did last year." Lampard denies the buzz is disappearing from English soccer. He noted that Chelsea's 2-0 victory on Saturday came over a Charlton team that came into the match with a 4-0 record. "The premiership will always have that real excitement
factor about it and that's the way it is now," he said. "Charlton gave us a very
good game the other day and they are flying in the league. There are a lot of
good teams out there. I think games are very enjoyable and exciting to watch."
