Sunderland gets first Premier League win
Sunderland won its first Premier League game in 27 attempts Sunday, beating Middlesbrough 2-0.

Its previous Premier League win was Dec. 15, 2002. Sunderland had lost five and tied one of its previous Premier League games this season. It had been the only team not to have won this season. It gives us belief." Chelsea leads the Premier League after winning its seventh straight game Saturday, a 2-1 win over Aston Villa. The win gave Chelsea 21 points. United lost 2-1 to visiting Blackburn, Arsenal tied 0-0 at promoted West Ham and Liverpool scrambled to a 2-2 tie at Birmingham.
