A hat trick from Nigerian striker Nwoha Onyekachi inspired Al Ain, who raced 4-0 up after 28 minutes as Shenzhen's woeful season continued following their breakthrough championship-winning campaign last year.

Subait Khater gave the team from the United Arab Emirates a fourth-minute lead before two goals from Onyekachi in the 10th and 22nd minutes put his side firmly in control.

Shehab Ahmed added a fourth goal on 28 minutes and Onyekachi completed his hat trick with 13 minutes left.

Khater grabbed his second in the 81st minute to give Shenzhen a near-impossible task in the second leg.
