Real out to puncture Barca euphoria at Bernabeu (Reuters) Updated: 2005-11-18 11:48
"I'm a little bit upset about the attitude of some of the media who are only
talking about a Barcelona victory," the Dutchman told Radio Marca.
"Historically, (the Bernabeu) is a very difficult ground for us to play at.
We are playing against a great team who have got a lot of pride and will want to
do all they can to please their fans.
"It will be a very interesting game between two rivals. There is bound to be
an intense atmosphere but I just hope it will be a great spectacle for the world
of football."
Bayern face likely test of Ballack dependence
FRANKFURT, Nov 18 (Reuters) - Bayern Munich should get an early chance to
prove there is life beyond Michael Ballack when they visit Arminia Bielefeld on
Saturday.
Ballack's future has dominated headlines for the past week after the
Bundesliga leaders withdrew their latest contract offer and began the search to
replace Germany's captain.
The 29-year-old midfielder, who will wait until January to decide whether to
move abroad or stay with the champions, has not trained this week because of a
hamstring strain.
Coach Felix Magath will give Ballack until the final training session on the
eve of the match to prove his fitness but his chances are not looking good.
"I have a problem with picking a player who hasn't trained in the first half
of the week," Magath said.
