NEW YORK (Reuters) - LeBron James had 36 points, 11
rebounds and 10 assists for his first triple-double of the season to help the
Cleveland Cavaliers defeat the 76ers 123-120 in Philadelphia on Saturday.
Larry Hughes chipped in with a season high 37 points for the Cavaliers (8-2),
who have won seven straight games after rallying from a 111-106 deficit with
4:57 remaining.
James led the way on a 13-5 run that put Cleveland ahead to stay, with his
three-pointer with 1:02 to play to put the Cavs ahead 117-116.
Hughes had five three-pointers in the game, while Drew Gooden added 16 points
and 13 rebounds for the Cavaliers.
The Sixers (6-5) lost their second straight game after a six-game winning
streak despite another big performance from Allen Iverson, the NBA's leading
scorer.
Iverson had 37 points and 12 assists to lead the 76ers, while Chris Webber
added 26 points and 12 rebounds.
Andre Iguodala chipped in with 17 points and Kyle Korver added 13 points for
the Sixers.
Iverson had a chance to tie the game with a three-pointer at the buzzer, but
missed his 23-foot attempt.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 12 points for the Cavaliers, who trailed 66-57 at
the half and by nine points again after three quarters before scoring 38 fourth
quarter points.
