World and Olympic champions Brazil battled back from two sets down to beat wild-cards China to keep their slate clean in the men's volleyball World Grand Champions Cup.

"We saw the difference in class tonight and I wish our players had such opponents every week so they could learn from them," Fenerbahce coach Christoph Daum said.

Brazil, following a tough 3-1 win over the United States on Tuesday, chalked up their second victory by 23-25, 26-28, 25-11, 25-18, 15-10 in the quadrennial six-nation round robin featuring the champions of four continents.

European champions Italy beat African number-one Egypt 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-19).

Hosts and Asian champions Japan were to battle the United States, who represent North and Central America as well as the Caribbean, later on Wednesday.

"Whenever we play against China, the game is tough," Brazil coach Bernardo Rezende said. "We are slow starters, so I am very happy to achieve the victory."

China bothered the South American champions with fast services and powerful attacks.

"We tried to stop the speedy offence by China. We had a lot of misses in service and receiving their floating services," the coach said.

Brazilian player Andre Nascimento said his side managed to make fewer mistakes in the last three sets. "It was very tough to win."
