Milan's victory will have left them with some happier memories of the city
where the six-times European champions lost the Champions League final in May to
Liverpool after blowing a 3-0 halftime lead.
The match also added to the misery of Turkish fans who witnessed the
disappointment of Turkey's elimination from the World Cup at the same stadium a
week earlier.
Fighting in the tunnel marred that game as Turkey went out on the away goals
rule despite a 4-2 victory.
Fenerbahce will have to beat PSV Eindhoven away from home in their final game
to qualify for the UEFA Cup.
