A police expert arranges rusty shells before
detonating at an abandoned quarry in Changchun, capital of northeast
China's Jilin Province November 30, 2005. More than 1,890 rusty
shells, unearthed from a construction site in downtown Changchun,
were destroyed in the deafening bang and powder smoke. Police used
about 300 kilograms of TNT explosives to the destruction of these
