HANOI, December 11 (Xinhua) -- China gained two gold medals Sunday at the
eighth world wushu championships, bringing the total gold medals to seven since
the match opened Saturday.
Ma Lingjuan from China won the women's Qiangshu (spear play) with a score of
9.80 pints, surpassing Han Jing from Chinese Macao by 0.25.
In the men's Changquan (long fist) competition, which was attended by most of
the players, Yuan Xiaochao from China scored 9.87 for the gold.
The gold medals of the woman's Gunshu ( stick play) and the woman's Nangun
(southern stick) went to contestants from Vietnam's Dam Thanhxuan, and Angie
Tsang of Hong Kong, China, respectively.
The six-day championships were attended by nearly 520 athletes from 57
countries and regions, the most in its history.
