Nadia Petrova and 2004 Open champion Justine Henin-Hardenne found a place in the
last eight of women's singles at Australian Open in Melbourne Sunday after
dispatching their opponents in straight sets.
Davenport, the world No. 1, conquered 14th seed Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia
6-2, 6-4.

Henin-Hardenne only dropped four games to her opponent, Spaniard Virginia
Ruano Pascual, winning the match 6-0, 6-3.

year at the Open.
Russian sixth seed Nadia Petrova defeated countrywoman Elena Vesnina 6-3,
6-1.
