Ailing man's euthanasia plea turned down

A euthanasia plea of an elderly man in Qingdao, a city in Shandong Province, has been turned down, according to Sohu.com, a Chinese portal.

The man, who suffers from cerebral thrombosis, has not seen any improvement after four years of treatment, and frustrated, wanted to end his life.

But his request was turned down by the Public Health Bureau for euthanasia is not allowed under Chinese law.
