Food-testing vehicles arrive on call Six vehicles with food-testing equipment started being deployed in Guangzhou on Monday to help detect harmful ingredients in food, reports New News Express. Capable of doing 12 types of tests, including those on carcinogenic materials in water, formaldehyde levels and bird flu, the vehicle will go to wet markets and supermarkets should anyone call the hotline. Some tests take only a few minutes. Seven more such vehicles will join the force later this year.
