Electrocuted crane causes 13-hour blackout A white crane on the country's protected list caused a 13-hour blackout in Jilin city, Jilin Province, when it was electrocuted as it touched a high-tension wire, New Culture News reports. The dead bird, 1.2 metres long, was found near a wire pole last Thursday with its talons showing signs of burns.
