Student lured by new nose

A Shanghai high-school student is being offered plastic surgery by her parents as an incentive to do well in her mid-term exams, reports Shanghai Jiefang Daily.

Xiao Li, a high school first-grade student, was always unhappy with her flat nose. Surgeons say that this type of plastic surgery can be carried out on students aged over 15, with no adverse impact on their health.

But psychologists said that teenagers have no mature understanding of what beauty is about and they should make the decision when they grow up.
