Explosive phone call hits man in bank A young man in Hong Kong who had just ended a phone call when standing in a bank queue last Tuesday had the mobile phone explode in his hand, hurting his eyes and left hand, reports Wen Wei Po. Chan said the phone, a Nokia 3310, was a gift from his father who bought it at a cheap price of HK$380 three days earlier at a small store. Chan left the hospital that evening. The authorities said the explosion, the first case in Hong Kong, may have been caused by using the wrong type of battery. The mobile phone agent said it would investigate the case immediately. |
