Father flies to curb girl's Internet romance A father flew more than 1,000 kilometres to look for his daughter who left home in pursuit of an Internet romance, reports Shanghai Morning Post. The police at Shanghai Railway received a phone call from Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan Province on May 1. The caller said his daughter had fled Kunming for Shanghai to look for her Internet friend. The police figured the girl would most probably take the K79 train from Kunming to Shanghai. The next day, the police found the girl on the train and called the father, who took a flight immediately to Shanghai. When the train arrived in Hangzhou, a city near Shanghai, the anxious father was already waiting at the platform. Seeing her tired father, the girl hugged him tightly and burst into tears. The girl later agreed to go back to Kunming with her father and never met the friend from the Internet. |
