Beijing Jeep to build new spray-painting factory

Beijing Jeep Corporation Ltd has laid the foundation for its new spray-painting factory recently at the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area.
Tong Zhiyuan, vice president of Beijing Jeep, hosted the ceremony.
The new factory -- the first of its kind to adopt a new environmentally friendly spray-painting technology -- covers an area of 40,000 square meters. Its annual capacity will reach 80,000 vehicles in the first phase and 80,000 vehicles in the second phase. The new factory will be completed and put into production by July 2005.
