Amateur chorus troupes active on stage
Thousands of amateur chorus singers are active on stages in the Pearl River Delta region in Guangdong Province, Yangcheng Evening News reports. A chorus troupe from Nanhai, a county-level city is to start a performance trip to Germany. The Nanhai singers have participated in dozens of overseas performances and won many awards on international stages. It is estimated that in China there are about 500 full-time amateur chorus troupes and more than 10,000 troupes who give shows only on big occasions each year. |
