Giant bag screen serves 4,000 viewers An audience of more than 1,400 viewers saw a film on a giant screen made of air-filled plastic bags in Hong Kong. The HK$1 million (US$128,000) screen, introduced from Germany, is 24 metres high and 12 metres wide. It is waterproof, can resist wind and can serve an audience of 4,000. The open air theatre showed films by local stars Stephen Chow and Bruce Lee. Its hope was to diminish the distance between the screen and viewers during the Hong Kong International Film Festival, the Wenwei Po reports. |
