Chopper fan brought back down to earth

A driver was fined almost 1,000 yuan (US$120) by traffic police after chasing a helicopter.

Chutian Golden News reports the driver surnamed Sun was tootling along the expressway from Yichang to Wuhan in Hubei Province, when he suddenly spotted a red helicopter flying ahead of him.

Rarely having a chance to see such a magnificent chopper, Sun decided to step on the gas to get a better look.

He followed for more than 10 kilometres before, sadly, the helicopter turned away from the line of the road.

Still beaming, Sun was pulled over by the police and told that he had been travelling at 155 kilometres per hour, 50 per cent over the limit.
