84 firms listed in Forbe's leading companies

A total of 84 enterprises from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan have made the latest Forbes list of the world's top 2000 companies.

PetroChina is 55th among the leading companies of the world, the top of Chinese companies, while China's Sinopec Corp ranks 81st.

The Hong Kong arm of China Mobile comes in 112th, the highest ranking achieved by a company from the Special Administrative Region.

Taiwan's largest enterprise, Cathay Financial Holdings, makes the list at number 312.
