Hu leaves Jakarta for Manila for state visit

JAKARTA -- Chinese President Hu Jintao left Jakarta, capital of Indonesia, for Manila Tuesday for a state visit to the Philippines, the last leg of his three-nation Southeast Asia tour.
During his stay in Indonesia, Hu Jintao attended the April 22-23 Asian-African Summit in Jakarta and participated in the golden jubilee commemoration of the Asian-African Conference 1955 in Bandung Sunday.
On Monday, Hu held talks with his Indonesian counterpart Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on the further promotion of bilateral cooperation. The two leaders announced the establishment of the strategic partnership between their nations so as to address long-term interests and take bilateral relations to a new level.
The Chinese president also met other Indonesian leaders during his two-day state visit.
Hu arrived in Jakarta on April 21 from Brunei, where he paid a state visit.
