Beckham may be free to play in U.S

David Beckham might be able to play in England's exhibition match against the United States after all.
Beckham received a yellow card in the 61st minute of a 0-0 tie with Atletico Madrid on Saturday, so he must sit out the final game of the season against Zaragoza next weekend.

That could persuade Madrid to release Beckham for next Saturday's England-US game in Chicago.
"I will have to speak to Beckham and we will see what happens next week," Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo said. "The season hasn't ended yet and we will decide if we will release him."
Beckham and Madrid teammate Michael Owen are expected to be available for the second match of England's two-game visit — against Colombia in New Jersey on May 31.
"I didn't deserve the card, but I'm in the hands of the referee," Beckham said. "It would never have been a yellow card in England. I wanted to play against Zaragoza."
