Chiness Super League club Chongqing Lifan have on Thursday finalized a contract of transfer of its striker Shi Jun to the Swiss Super League side Young Boys.
The final transfer fee will be 500,000 euros, with 300,000 of them be paid next year.
The 22-year-old, who impressd the club on a trial to Switzerland playing friendly with German side Kaiserslautern last week, becomes the first Chinese to join Swiss Super League.
Shi's chances come as Switzerland's football legend Stephane Chapuisat announced his retirement from the club at end of last season. The club need new blood to fill the vacancy.
Shi is the Swiss club's second East Asian signing after a Japan international.
The Young Boys finished the 4th place last season among all the 10 sides at the Swiss Super League.
