Vietnamese football tries to clean up its act

In the face of mounting media scrutiny, VFF bosses are unsure whether to let a few heads roll or let the police inquiries take their natural but unpredictable course, insiders say.
The federation "has no choice but to take legal action against some people," said Thanh Nien daily's Thanh Thao, one of the most influential commentators on Vietnam's football scene.
"Can they really clean up Vietnamese football and rebuild from scratch? I doubt it," Thao said.
