`End of Diplomacy'

Iran rejected the threat of sanctions. There isn't any legal basis for taking Iran before the Security Council, the Associated Press cited Iranian Vice President Gholamreza Aghazadeh as saying. The uranium enrichment program is ``irreversible'' Javad Vaeedi, deputy head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said, according to Agence France- Presse while the country's top nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani, said a UN referral would mark ``the end of diplomacy,'' AP said.

Iran has given the UN nuclear watchdog documents on casting weapons-grade uranium into the shape of warheads, AP said, citing unidentified diplomats. At the same time, the UN watchdog passed to Iran U.S. intelligence that suggested Iran has been working on nuclear weapons, and requested a reply, AP said. No further details were available.
