Nasdaq halts China Technology trading

Nasdaq Stock Market Inc. said on Friday it halted trading of China Technology Development Corp., a developer of network security software, after the stock took a nosedive in afternoon trading on Friday.

Shares of China Technology Development Corp., which have traded between $1.53 and $12.23 over the last year, dropped $2.51, or 20.7 percent, to $9.64 in afternoon trading on Friday.

Nasdaq said it submitted a request for additional information, and the stock will remain halted until China Technology satisfies Nasdaq's request.
