Famous Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai's new film "2046" will hit cinemas on September 28.
Wong will appear with the film's stars at a grand ceremony at Shanghai Friendship Hall on September 20. The cast includes Hong Kong actors Tony Leung and Faye Wong, plus mainland stars Gong Li and Zhang Ziyi.
"Shanghai gets most of the film's stars since it's the first stop on the Asian tour," said Peng Qihua, a representative of the producer.
