A Cosplay festival has been held in a middle school in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, with boys and girls dressing up like characters from popular animation and comics.
The students saved their pocket money or even breakfast money to buy or design their costumes with expense ranging from 200 yuan (US$24) to 3,000 yuan (US$363).
But parents expressed concerns over their children's indulgence in comics while the school authority that financially supports this activity said the event will continue next year but under more guidance, the New Express News reports.
