Over the past 50 years, Ma has made models of many popular cartoon characters for a Hong Kong-based company, including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Garfield, the Lion King and Batman.

In 1964, Ma began making Snoopy models, later becoming the only approved producer designated by Charles Schulz, the creator of the world's most famous cartoon dog. So far, Ma claims to have made more than 30,000 plastic Snoopies, accounting for more than half of the world's total.
