Most Guangzhou residents prefer China-made grape wine over pricier imported brands, a local survey shows.
The survey found that 4.3 per cent of respondents drink only imported grape wine.
The researchers of the survey think the reason for the weak enthusiasm for imports is there has not been much publicity about overseas brand grape wines in the Chinese mainland.
On the contrary, lots of local brands, such as Great Wall and Chang Yu, have a large number of advertisements. The China-made grape wine has taken up 70 per cent of the market share.
Domestic grape wine is much cheaper than the imported wine.
