Traditional Korean park welcomes visitors

A Korean park opened to the public in Guangzhou on Monday.

With the support of the governments of Guangdong Province and Gyeonggi of the Republic of Korea (ROK), construction of the park began at the beginning of this year.

The site park, covering 8,500 square metres of Guangzhou Yuexiu Park, is designed to mirror traditional Korean style, in terms of architecture and layout.

According to the Guangdong provincial government, a Guangdong Park is under construction in the ROK, and should be open to the public in the spring of 2006.
