Chen Shui-bian is in a bind

He has no idea what he is doing. He can only come out with various wild schemes, but all in the end boils down to he does not accept that there is one China and Taiwan its province.
Further dealings with Chen Shui-bian are exercises in futility. China is wary of him, and rightly so not to respond to any of his overtures.
The worst thing China can do up to 20 March is to react. Avoidance of any comments is the best policy.
One development by China is correct in its declaration that it does not worry whether the Pan Green or Pan Blue wins, so long as either one acknowledges the one-China principle.
For Chen Shui-bian, China should treat him now as a non-person.
