Paris Hilton serious about soccer star

Paris Hilton and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo are determined to stay together, even though his mother doesn't approve of the romance.

Paris Hilton and Cristiano Ronaldo have vowed to make their long-distance relationship work.

The socialite and the soccer star - who spent hours kissing in a Los Angeles nightclub last Wednesday (10.06.09) - have promised to remain faithful to each other while Paris is in Dubai filming a new TV show and he is in America.

A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "He is really taken by Paris. It could be something big. Paris has to go to Dubai with work, and that will test how serious they are about each other.

"There's a feeling that neither needs the other one's money, which is a breath of fresh air for the pair of them - they're normally on the lookout for gold diggers. They've pledged to keep in touch and have been texting each other all the time.

"Fortunately, Paris understands that every time Cristiano is pictured with another girl, he's not being unfaithful. It will be very interesting to see what happens."

However, Cristiano's mother Dolores Averio reportedly doesn't approve of her son's new socialite lover.

The source added: "She's not every mother's ideal daughter-in-law. She's not too happy with Cristiano falling for her, but she knows he's a grown man so will let him make his own mistakes."

Paris, 28, and Cristiano, 24, stunned onlookers when they shared a series of passionate kisses at MyHouse club last week.

After hours of "swapping spit", the randy pair left together at 3am, driving straight to Nicky Hilton's nearby home in West Hollywood.

Cristiano - who is moving from English team Manchester United to Spanish club Real Madrid in a reported £80 million transfer - and Paris met up for a second time less than 24 hours later.
