In the first three quarters of this year, China sold 9.66 million cars, exceeding the entire volume for 2008, Xinhua News Agency reported today, citing data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. Last year, 9.38 million cars were sold in the country.
In September alone, 1.33 million units were sold, up 77.88 percent compared to the same period last year. Over one million of these were passenger cars.
