XINING: China has reported its second death of A/H1N1 influenza on Friday, according to a Health Ministry statement on its website.
A 43-year-old woman, in Xining, capital of northwest China's Qinghai Province died of A/H1N1 influenza at about 2:41 pm on Friday at the provincial contagious disease hospital, local health authorities said.
China reported its first death of A/H1N1 influenza after an 18-year-old Tibetan woman died on October 4.
The Chinese mainland had reported 26,348 confirmed cases of A/H1N1 influenza as of Friday, 22,746 of which had recovered and 23 cases with heavy symptoms, 10 of which had recovered, the notice said.
