Animation works exhibited on mobile network

China Telecom CDMA users can enjoy through their mobile phones animation works by students from around the world, which are submitted to a four-day animation festival, opening in Beijing Wednesday.

The CDMA users are viewing the animation works including pictures and videos via an exhibition jointly launched by the mobile phone TV station of the Xinhua News Agency and China Telecom Wednesday, as the 4th China (Beijing) International Student Animation Festival opened simultaneously.

The mobile phone TV viewers can also have a close contact with the latest development of the world animation industry as Xinhua mobile phone TV station has arranged interviews with world renowned animation masters during the exhibition.

The current festival, with the theme of "Be Together", is co-hosted  the Communication University of China and the Beijing TV Station. It had attracted students from 52 countries, including France, Britain, the United States and Germany, presenting more than 1,600 animation works.

Thirty-five world renowned animation masters, including those from the the DreamWorks Animation of the United States and the Filmmuseum-Berlin, will exchange their successful experience in animation creation during the festival.

Wu Jincai, deputy editor-in-chief of Xinhua News Agency, said Xinhua's mobile phone TV would continue to enrich the content of its programs, extending its coverage to the fields of literature, art and animation. Xinhua launched its mobile phone TV services on September 1, 2009.
