Now in its 12th year, the 5 km Jingle Bell Run of Guam will be held on Saturday. It will start and end at the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa.
The Jingle Bell Run is Guam's premier family oriented fun race, and is held annually. Residents and visitors of all ages turn out in great numbers to run, walk, share good cheer, and enjoy a wide variety of entertainment along the way.
Last year, it saw more than 1,700 participants in festive costumes and tiny bells that rang out with the sounds of Christmas. Organizers hope to make this year's run the best one yet.
Located in the western Pacific, Guam is the closest US destination from China, and is known for its crystal clear water, blue skies and beaches fronted by coconut fronds. There are daily flights from Shanghai via Tokyo, Seoul, or Manila, that reach Guam in six hours.
