An RMB10m educational fund will offer up to 42000 villagers 25 years of free education, from kindergarten to PhD, in the Shipai town of Dongguan, Guangdong, the China Business Weekly reported Tuesday. The plan sets up a new example for China's free education system. Chinese economist Mao Yushi said, "The money put into free education came from taxes that villagers paid, thus it is reasonable to use the money for education for students from low-income families." |
