Mine rescue to hit screen

王家岭矿难将拍3D电影

The rescue of 115 workers from a flooded coal mine in Shanxi may soon hit the big screen during the National Day holiday, the Shanxi Evening News reported. The film, provisionally titled "Eight Days and Eight Nights," will trace the government's efforts to reach trapped workers who were underground for more than a week at the state-owned Wangjialing mine. Shanxi Film Studio will invest RMB10m to make the film, which uses 3D animation to make the underground and flood scenes look real.
