US fast-food giant KFC agreed to raise wages in Shenyang as demanded by a local trade union, Xinhua reported. The company had been under pressure for a pay rise from the Shenyang Municipal Trade Union for months. The company Thursday signed its first collective labor contract on the Chinese mainland, covering 2000 employees in Shenyang. According to the contract, the company will set a minimum wage of RMB900 per month instead of the previous RMB700. It also promises an annual pay raise of 5%. |
