ITV was forced to apologize Monday after their HD channel coverage missed England's opening World Cup goal against the US on Saturday because of an advertizing break, the UK media reported. Viewers of ITV HD had their coverage of the game suddenly cut short after just 3mins 26secs of play, when the broadcaster suddenly switched to a Hyundai advert. Coverage resumed at 3mins 46secs, with Steven Gerrard celebrating his strike (see photo).
