Baidu announced Tuesday night that the company will attend a job fair in the US early July to hire software engineers directly from the Silicon Valley. Those hired for 30 positions could include Chinese or citizens of any other country. So far, fewer than 10 of the company's more than 8,000 employees hold passports from countries other than China. The Financial Times said the move marks the beginning of changes in Baidu's personnel policy. And the Wall Street Journal said, the company is taking the advantage of Google's dwindling business in China to enlarge its shares. |
