A new tax on sales of primary resources, including oil and gas, will be rolled out nationwide, Du Ying, vice chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, confirmed Thursday. Before going nationwide, the tax will first be rolled out across 12 western provinces, regions and cities, and will be extended to coal sales. Since early June, a 5% tax has been tested in Xinjiang.

国家发改委副主任杜鹰8日证实，原油和天然气等资源税改革将在全国推行。在全国推行启动之前，资源税改革将扩大至西部12省区市，税改范围将由油气拓宽至煤炭销售领域。今年6月初，资源税改已经率先在新疆试行，税率为5%。
