Comic actor Tracy Morgan, star of the television show 30 Rock, was arrested for drunken driving early on Tuesday(Nov.28,2006), police said.

Morgan, 38, was stopped by police before dawn in Manhattan after they spotted him driving erratically.

A spokesman for the Manhattan District Attorney's office said that Morgan told police he was drinking beer at a club before he was pulled over.

Morgan, who also appears on NBC's Saturday Night Live, is currently on probation in Los Angeles for a DWI conviction.
