Cynthia Nixon always knew she would find her soulmate. The 'Sex and the City: The Movie' actress - who began dating Christine Marinoni soon after splitting from her partner of 15 years, Danny Mozes - had no doubt there was somebody out there meant for her.
She said: "I do believe in soulmates. I think that some people find one person and they are with that person for life, and they grow together and change together. I feel in my love relationships, I've had different people who've brought out different parts of me. "It goes to show you just never know who you're going to wind up with. It's much better to see what life throws your way."
The 42-year-old star - who has two children, 11-year-old Samantha and five-year-old Charles, with Mozes - also revealed the secret to a successful relationship is never taking your lover for granted. She added: "It's so easy to have your marriage or your relationship put on the back burner. You think that person is always going to be there. You say, 'Next week, I'll pay more attention,' or, 'Next year, I'll pay more attention.' But if you don't tend to it, it dies. So I think it's really important to spend time with that person when you're making dinner, putting the kids to bed or cleaning up. "Big grand gestures are nice. I guess someone who really sees who you are and someone who really wants the best for you."
