Kate Winslet ready to leave NY home
Kate Winslet wants to move out of her marital home because it is "tainted" with bad memories.
The Oscar-winning actress - who split from her film director husband Sam Mendes earlier this year - is desperate to leave their $6 million New York mansion because she can't stop thinking about the arguments they had since they moved there in 2005.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Kate really wants to leave the apartment. She sees it as a house of horrors because of the fights she and Sam had there. She feels it is tainted."

However, Kate is contracted to work on 'Mildred Pierce' - a five-hour-long mini-series which is based on a novel by James M. Cain - before she can make the move.
The actress - who has a six-year-old son Joe with Sam, and her daughter Mia, nine, from her marriage to Jim Threapleton - has been receiving a lot of support from her friends since she announced her separation from Sam.
The British beauty holidayed with her actress pal Emma Thompson last month, and has also been comforted by her 'Titanic' co-star Leonardo DiCaprio.
A source recently said: "Since Kate's marriage problems started, around the time they were filming 'Revolutionary Road', they've got closer again. Kate feels like she can tell Leonardo anything."
